Implementation Timeline, Complexity, and Challenges

11 citations from LLM engines

According to TrustRadius reviews, implementing SAP Integration Suite often involves migrating from older SAP products like PI/PO. This can be a significant project that requires re-engineering existing interfaces. Reviewers describe successful, large-scale implementations that integrate non-SAP systems and handle high transaction volumes of up to 5 million messages per month. However, the complexity can vary, with one reviewer noting that integrating with legacy mainframe systems is particularly challenging. Some reviewers mention being in the middle of their migration, suggesting implementation can be a phased process. After implementation, users report benefits like increased integration adoption and improved developer productivity.

Reviewers frequently discuss implementing SAP Integration Suite by migrating from older SAP products like PI/PO. This process involves re-engineering interfaces, and some users note they are still in the migration phase. Following the migration, reviewers report successfully processing high volumes, such as 5 million messages per month.

too soon to tell yet as we are still in the migration phase. moving from PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite should help us be more flexible with our integrations going forward. What small part we have went live with seems to work well . but more to come on that down the road.

The complexity of implementation can depend on the systems being integrated. One reviewer describes a successful large-scale integration with a non-SAP system involving over 3,000 users and 12 different technologies. In contrast, another found the process of integrating with a legacy mainframe to be "quite overwhelming."

Integration of Non-Sap System with S4 where we can to reduce the time work and improvement the operation around 60% and less investment without any impact of the performance with more than 3000 users and more than 12 different technology.
