Great Sales Enablement Tool

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Seismic Content is an invaluable sales enablement and content management tool for me as a Product Marketing Manager. It delivers analytics on the most-used assets, including open rates, and helps maintain version control. I like being able to direct sales reps to Seismic for all their content needs instead of searching through folders and locally stored documents that may be out of date.

Pros

  • Ability to create pages and sales plays
  • Ability to store different types of content
  • Permissions & access controls

Cons

  • Loading time for new assets could be faster
  • Analytics can be hard to use, but they're working on it and already making improvements

Likelihood to Recommend

Seismic Content is great for a B2B SaaS use case, where sales cycles are long and the decision to purchase is often made by a committee. Being able to create digital sales rooms that contain all the relevant content a prospect will need, stored in one link, removes the friction of searching through emails for the right document, and ensures that all content will be up to date.

Me and Seismics journey.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

This is a valid method for our company to share information, and we also utilize it for DSRs to send to customers. This is like a cloud-based PowerPoint. It is easy to use once you become familiar with it. It is a great tool overall. However, I do see there being improvements. Easy to navigate as well.

Pros

  • Showcase Information.
  • Share to Customers and Colleagues.
  • Easy to Navigate.

Cons

  • A like button for content.
  • Make it easier to search for things.
  • Easier to import stuff from PC.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is excellent for a cloud-based workspace between you and your customers. I find the chat feature to be a cool and underutilized tool. I appreciate how you can consolidate all your information on one page, rather than having multiple attachments. Easy to clone DSRs (Digital Sales Rooms), which saves a significant amount of time. Especially when all you have to do is make minor changes between customers.

Seismic experience from an end user

Rating: 1 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Seismic is used as a document storage repository that can be accessed by individual contributors, customer service managers, business development managers, marketing teams, and revenue operations teams. As documents are accessed, they can be sent to customers and tracking is applied to see who looks at the document and for how long.

Pros

  • tracking metrics
  • data
  • layout

Cons

  • organization
  • user experience
  • finding documents
  • viewing documents

Likelihood to Recommend

So far, my experience with Seismic has been sub-par. I think content is difficult to find, challenging to maintain or update, and not in an organization that is user friendly. Though the metrics that are tracked are quality, my user experience and interface are so poor that I don't use Seismic as it hampers my efficiency.

Seismic is a game changer when it comes to your content

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Seismic as our knowledge repository for our rev org team and partners. Seismic allows us to create pages to house similar content on, share content externally with customers and get detailed analytics on how our content is being used. Without Seismic we would have outdated content and not be able to easily find content when you need it.

Pros

  • Managing content
  • Sharing content with customers
  • Customizing content

Cons

  • Google integration
  • Digital sales room customization
  • Archiving content

Likelihood to Recommend

Seismic is great for companies who utilize Microsoft platform. Every aspect of Seismic is built for Microsoft. It doesn’t always play as nice for companies who use Google for their content. There can be issues with larger google decks and no ability to use their livesend features without Microsoft assets.

Implementation failed, Seismic refused any accommodation, charged 2 years of license fees to cancel

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We wanted to use Seismic to solve our content management challenge and to automate proposal generation. It didn't work out. Our experience was the classic "over-promise during sales" and "under-deliver on execution." Seismic turned out to be too complex and cumbersome for our team to implement effectively, and it became clear that the software would not actually help solve our content management problem. We had to scrap the implementation after a year. We had been forced to sign a 3-year contract upfront (bad sign!!), and then Seismic refused any accommodation and didn't take any responsibility for the failure. They charged us 2 years of license fees to cancel the 3-year contract. This was especially offensive after they had billed us every hour of support time for the implementation on top of the license fees. This was a major lesson learned - don't ever pay in full upfront and don't work with companies who use glitzy, high-pressure sales approaches.

Pros

  • Seismic sales team sold the product well
  • Implementation team did not execute
  • Product was too complex for our team

Cons

  • Improve implementation process
  • Care about the client's outcome instead of charging for every hour
  • Don't refuse all accommodation when problems are raised

Likelihood to Recommend

Seismic seems like it might be appropriate for large firms that have available internal resources to take ownership of the system and take charge of the implementation. The vendor implementation team doesn't care if you are successful or not.

Seismic the Content Go to!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Seismic to generate information and the platform allows us to share that information to our clients in a way that is seamless. It's a very unified solution! It really helps members in my organization engage their customers and enables our teams to improve revenue growth with clients. The business problems addressed are lack of content which is alleviated with Seismic.

Pros

  • Sales Content Management
  • Buyer Engagement
  • Content Automation

Cons

  • Ease of Use and Dashboard
  • Upload Process and be Easier and Seamless
  • Better Background Information on certain Documents

Likelihood to Recommend

Very content detailed and a resource that can be used to search for internal information as well as client facing information. Seismic is well suited in helping us share knowledge and information so it's better to reach out to customers using the product. It's also a great tool to share information within the company when others need assistance.

Great way to organize content to share with our team and with prospects. • Organize content
  • Track open and viewing of content
  • Create custom digital sales rooms for your prospects

Cons

  • Sometimes things can load slowly
  • Viewing and opening isn't always accurate
  • More types of content for Digital Sales Rooms

Seismic Review from a Sales Producer

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Seismic is used in my sales role to search/pull important information, announcements, & collateral from corporate. Content is sorted via category into folders which makes finding pertinent information simple. This is very useful as there is no hassle having to ask colleagues to forward you content nonstop. It keeps everything organized in one place.

Pros

  • Organize content and information into groups
  • Stores large files for download to share with colleagues & customers
  • Pushes out announcements company-wide

Cons

  • Lot of data on home hub which can be difficult to navigate at times.
  • Preview of certain documents do no show or load unless you download the file. I'd like to have the content available to view the file before downloading to my files.
  • Show recently uploaded content more prominently for context on hub. This will allow users to stay updated.

Likelihood to Recommend

Seismic is a great tool & resource for large organizations to share information. It is useful to go to find information you do not have already saved or get the most recent copies of paperwork. It can also be useful to push out announcements to a large group of people. I have found less value in the LiveSend feature as well as insights into client engagement of company information.

The One Stop Shop For Sales Content

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My team used Seismic as our source of truth for all sales training - specifically for our SDRs, ISRs, Account Executives, and CSMs. It was a great tool that allowed us to put all our training materials in one place as well as keep consistent, real-time track of our reps' progress and performance. Every incoming rep used Seismic for their onboarding, and all our reps continue to use the tool to locate important documents, review repeating attestations, and deliver standardized content to our customers and/or prospective buyers.

Pros

  • Extensive and customizable content library for reps and managers alike.
  • Access levels for certain trainings and documents.
  • Simple to navigate and well organized.
  • One-stop shop for everything reps needed in terms of collateral, employer-related items, and sales/product coaching.

Cons

  • Only one complaint. I wish the tool allowed users to have an Archive type folder that allowed them to get document history as changes are made and new renditions come out.

Likelihood to Recommend

Seismic excels at being a one-stop shop for all content that is relevant to salespeople and the deal cycles they work through. It does a great job not only making content and training readily available but also at distributing the right content at the right time/for the right scenario. Based on my experience with the tool, this was a go-to for many reps (myself included) because it saved us so much time. Rather than sifting through documents and collateral, we could easily find what we needed in a matter of moments.

Seismic - The one stop shop for sales enablement

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Seismic as our main sales enablement platform to empower our sales team with a repository of different resources with different purposes ranging from internal processes, competitive battle cards, and industry-specific resources to arm our sales team wit all the knowledge and resources they or their prospects and clients might need and use.

Pros

  • Feature-focused demo and/or industry-specific content
  • Segmentation of the users and tailoring the platform user interface accordingly
  • Tracking and reporting on the content in terms of views, uses, etc.

Cons

  • Adding more integration points and use cases with Salesforce would be good to have
  • Navigating to a specific resource gets cumbersome sometimes especially with lots of content
  • Bulk user operations and taking actions on behalf of other users would be good to have as well

Likelihood to Recommend

We mainly use Seismic as the repository for all public facing content for sharing. Seismic also contains internal only documents as well. This does and can include training materials,...policy documents... anything. With Seismic we are deploying a more centralized and streamlined sales enablement portal, and with it, we produce more feature-focused demo content that is readily available.
