Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to manage multiple emails across multiple work organizations and my personal emails. I also use the quick-access applications in the sidebar to manage everything in one place.

Pros

  • All in one platform with emails, applications, browser tabs, etc.
  • Easy to navigate user experience/interface.
  • Maintains native interface of email platforms.

Cons

  • Mobile application.
  • AI enabled features.
  • More application integrations.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have been using Shift for many years; it solves the most critical problem I had with managing multiple work emails by consolidating tabs and windows into a single, all-in-one solution. I appreciate the smooth interface and customizability across workspaces. Shift always maintains a strong connection, which is helpful for continuity.

Absolute must-have for business owners

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Shift keeps all of my business applications separate from the traditional browser. Since it syncs, I can have it on multiple devices and still be able to have all of my applications available. It integrates with almost every application that I've tried with it. Overall, it saves me a ton of time by having everything all in one spot.

Pros

  • Clean minimal layout
  • Supports a ton of applications
  • Keeps things separate from traditional browser

Cons

  • More customization within the design (colors, custom icons, etc)
  • Ability to add/dock a music player near the top icons or address bar
  • Add YouTube Music as a "Google App" in the top right
  • Add Google Messages as a "Google App" in the top right

Likelihood to Recommend

Literally a paradigm shift in the way we work.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Being able to log in with multiple Gmail accounts was the primary driver for using Shift. Keeping all accounts consolidated helps keep everything tidy and generally makes the process more productive as a result.

Pros

  • Consolidation of accounts. Keeps everything tidy without having to search for browser tabs.
  • Ability to add an array of apps outside of email. You can build out workspaces to keep work further organised into logical units.
  • Being able to import accounts and passwords from Google Chrome makes for an easy setup/adoption.

Cons

  • Honestly nothing!

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe that Shift is suitable for everyone, even those with only one email account. Just being able to group email, along with Messenger, WhatsApp, and other apps, together is, in itself, a productivity hack. I have already recommended it to some of my other business owner friends.

The best way to manage multiple Google inboxes

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As the owner of additional marketing agency, I have numerous inboxes that I manage all within Google workspace. Shift allows me to have all of them open at the same time without having to bounce back-and-forth between tabs.

Pros

  • Multiple inbox management
  • Giving me a dedicated place for my email away from my browser

Cons

  • I honestly just use Shift for the basic needs of managing inboxes. It does a ton more stuff that maybe could be improved, but I just don't know.

Likelihood to Recommend

I only use it for inbox management and it's perfect for that. I like that I can also have Google workspace, Outlook, and even pop in one place.

Game changer for simultaneous use of multiple gmailsuite accounts

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Being always signed into email, cal, g-suite, etc, for all my accouts simultaneously. Super super efficiency and easy across work, personal, alumni, etc. Saves a ton of time having all in one place and not needing to log in and out of each continously. Easy to use, one application, use all day everyday for email and g-suite.

Pros

  • simulatenously logged into multiple gmail accounts.
  • integrating with slack, whatapp, etc
  • cross account calendar management

Cons

  • logs out of one account sporadically once a week - very annoying as removes all open tabs.
  • design, could be cleaner UI for sure.
  • browser is lacking

Likelihood to Recommend

I have recommended to many peers already. If you use multiple gmail accounts so managing muiltiple inbox, calendar, g-suite folders, etc, Shift is perfect as you're logged into them all simultaneously so no switching browsers, no logging in and out, etc, it's all there ready to use all the time.

Wouldnt change it for the world

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Shift for personal use for emails only. Been using it for years and would love never have to change from it. It's really great.

Pros

  • The layout
  • The speed
  • The fluidity
  • the fact that it keeps the native email provider layouts
  • being able to add several accounts
  • the simplicity and ease of navigation between various email accounts

Cons

  • honestly, for me none. It stays simple and that's what great

Likelihood to Recommend

I only use it with my google accounts and for that, it is, again, just great in every way. I'm sure there's room for improvement as there always is but I honestly can't think of anything. I like thing simple and that's what Shift is. Very very useful yet still very simple.

Not sure what it would be less appropriate for.

I use Shift for my business as well as for my personal use and I love it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I appreciate the ability to combine all my email accounts into one location, as well as most of the software I use to streamline both my work day and my personal time online. Shift has been a game changer in that way, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing that organizing Shift in their life.

Pros

  • streamlining everything into one location
  • organizing emails keeping me on top of things
  • accessing everything quickly

Likelihood to Recommend

As a small business owner, it is well-suited for organization

Streamline your day to day with Shift

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As our agency uses many different apps that are a mix of web based and stand alone, and many of these apps have alerts, we want an application that has all of these tools in one place. That way there is better focus and does not require switching from one tool to another. Shift allows us to work efficiently and quickly jump from one tool to another all in one app.

Pros

  • Allows the grouping of similar tools or usage (entertainment, work, personal. Etc
  • Allows alerts for common work tools like figma, notion, linear, and google
  • Integrates web tools into different tabs and saves passwords for them
  • Allows custom bookmarks to key sites and saves them in groups

Cons

  • Sometimes links open outside the app when all links should be inside the app
  • A few issues related to functions have taken a long time to address
  • Improve chat function for support

Likelihood to Recommend

It’s really well suited if the apps you use are mostly web based with nearly identical functionality to its stand alone app function. It’s not suited if most of your tools are applications that have limited or no web-based version.

Great organization tool or multi-programs

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps me merge multiple emails as well as team organization programs like Slack are in one. The notifcation function is very helpful and having an All in One platform for text messages, whatsapp, and teams is very helpful. You can stay organized with custom tabs to keep Google Office platform, purchasing platforms, and calendar update quickly and easily.

Pros

  • Organization
  • Task Management
  • De-clutter workspace

Cons

  • Password keeper
  • Login remembrance
  • Easier third-party integration

Likelihood to Recommend

Multi-platform workspace. Some work places require a lot of programs (Email, chat, calendar) and using a browser alone can get messy and disorganized quickly

Is there an enterprise/family option? I think that would help more people use it as a single license is a little expensive in my opinion.
