It can scale significantly, although its in-memory usage does mean the cost of scaling to data size is higher, so I believe for very large data sets (double-triple digit TBs) where less performance... … Vertica, Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, PowerBI, Aerospike, etc.
