Too expensive, and not affordable but all companies such as start ups, as licensing and support both are way too expensive. … Oracle Database 12c has had some what of a positive ROI, as it has been decent to work with, in terms of not spending more than required time to set up, and manage.

It is not really appropriate for smaller companies, because it can be really expensive, both in terms of license and maintenance, and, if the quantity of data produced by the organization is not high... … License costs for Oracle Database are pretty high and not affordable at all for some companies Installation and maintenance of the database is quite difficult (not specifically in this release).
