A Quality Web Governance Tool
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Siteimprove is utilized as our our overarching web accessibility and web governance tool. We employ it on all public facing websites.
Pros
- Accessibility and WCAG compliance
- Policy - custom and pre-canned
- Identifying SEO opportinities
Cons
- Because it's an automated system, there are false-positives in terms of WCAG
- Costs keep increasing
- Client support no longer top of game
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for identifying misspellings, WCAG compliance issues, setup of custom policies to identify problem areas of content, deep linking of CMS to product. There are times when the automation of siteimprove actually gets in the way, with false positives that require significant manual review for true identification. As a general QA and/or web governance tool, it's pretty useful.
