Business Problems Solved

Skyvia Backup offers users a secure and convenient backup solution for Salesforce. Users appreciate the ability to automatically back up their data in the cloud, ensuring they have a copy of their information in case of unexpected actions or data load issues. This feature allows users to restore a deleted Jira instance completely from a remote source in the cloud, providing peace of mind and protecting important data.

The licensing model of Skyvia Backup is considered more affordable for many users as it is based on active users and storage usage. This flexible pricing structure allows multiple team members to access the data from one account without the need for purchasing additional licenses. This is especially beneficial for small startups looking for an affordable and straightforward backup solution. Additionally, Skyvia Backup offers a solid Microsoft Azure server with a 99.99% uptime, ensuring data security and availability in the cloud storage.

Users find it very convenient to schedule automatic daily backups with Skyvia Backup. They can compare these backups to quickly restore any modified data since the last backup, avoiding potential data losses or malicious actions. The product has been recommended by a Salesforce consultant as a reliable solution to protect Sales Team data from accidental deletion or other forms of data loss. Furthermore, Skyvia Backup is widely used by the admin department for backup retention, particularly for storing Salesforce backups of clients to meet legal obligations.

The ability to schedule automatic backups, cost-effective licensing model, and dependable cloud storage make it an ideal choice for businesses looking to safeguard their important data.

Easy to configure reliable back up for HubSpot

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Skyvia as a backup for our HubSpot CRM data. We wanted a secondary backup in the case of losing access to our HubSpot account, plus the more sophisticated automatic setup and restore offered by Skyvia. We've set it up for weekly automatic backup and also to auto delete the oldest version to us within our subscription space limit.

Pros

  • Automatic weekly backup - no manual intervention required once configured
  • Integration with HubSpot is easy
  • Auto clean oldest version to keep within space limit

Cons

  • I initially found the navigation a little tricky for certain actions, however, improvements have been made over the last year

Likelihood to Recommend

Suited to those who want to back up their HubSpot CRM via easy configuration

Affordable backup solution for Salesforce

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Skyvia Backup is being used by our admin department for backup retention. Due to legal obligations, we have to store Salesforce backups of our clients for 5 years, so that is why Skyvia Backup solution is the most cost-efficient for us.

Pros

  • To us, the main strength of Skyvia Backup is its clean user-interface and straightforward setup process. It took us very little time to get our heads around the setup, and we could get back to other tasks.
  • We also appreciate the feature of searching for a particular record or specific dataset - it is very helpful when one of our clients requests a partial restoration.

Cons

  • Sometimes Salesforce backup creation takes a lot of time, but Skyvia support explained that it's a Salesforce API limitation, so there's not much they can do to improve it.

Likelihood to Recommend

Skyvia Backup is well suited for Salesforce backup creation, retention, and partial restoration.

Cost efficient backup for HubSpot

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a small startup we try to cut out all possible costs spent on all kinds of tools. As all our sales and marketing activities are kept in HubSpot, we looked for an affordable and no frills backup solution. Skyvia seems to fit right in.

Pros

  • We appreciated the speed with which we could find and restore a particular record when it was accidentally deleted from HubSpot. I think the strengths of Skyvia Backup include its performance, simple user interface, and comprehensive documentation - you don't have to hire a top-notch consultant to help you with onboarding, like with some other tools on the market. You just check 1 page of documentation, and set everything up, no previous experience needed.

Cons

  • We were not able to interrupt the process of backup creation the moment it has been launched, so I guess this counts as a room for improvement. We had to wait till the backup was completed to delete it and relaunch with the correct data.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would certainly recommend Skyvia Backup for small companies - it's as cost efficient as can be.

Skyvia Backup solution for Salesforce

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Skyvia Backup to backup our Salesforce orgs' records. It is very convenient to schedule automatic daily backups, and compare them to see what has been modified since the last backup date and restore it quickly.

Pros

  • Skyvia Backup is a web tool, that's why we don't need to install and maintain it. The interface is pretty intuitive and you can clearly see what's going on with your backups, compare backup versions, and restore specific records per request.

Cons

  • Skyvia Backup's room for improvement is that it still doesn't have support for Salesforce metadata, which would be very useful.

Likelihood to Recommend

In my opinion, Skyvia Backup is well suited for automatic backing up and restoring Salesforce data. It's intuitive and easy to use which saves a lot of time and requires almost no learning curve to start using.

Reliable Salesforce backup solution

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Skyvia Backup has been recommended to us by a Salesforce consultant as we were looking for a SFDC compatible solution to protect our Sales Team data from accidental deletion, data losses, or malefactors. It is used by our IT department.

Pros

  • I like the fact that Skyvia Backup is a standalone cloud solution we have access to 24\7, so in case of an emergency we can find and restore any record we need. Not to mention that searching through Skyvia Backup is also faster in general than searching through Salesforce itself.

Cons

  • We'd like some improvement on backup email notification - we receive emails if the backup creation has failed for some reason, but we don't receive them when it has been completed, or when we run out of disk space. It requires spending some additional time to log in and check whether the disk space is still enough. Would be great to save this time for other tasks.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Skyvia Backup is good for store & restore scenarios, but not that good for companies who need the latest backup versions only, as it doesn't overwrite old backups' files. You have to delete the unnecessary backup files manually which may seem a bit old school.
