Tracksmart was purchased by Personelle and, in my experience, it is now officially a Nightmare

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used to use Tracksmart to manage employee time off and weekly timesheets. In our experience, after Personelle took over, all of our historical data was wiped from the system and we were given absolutely NOT notice and NO ONE is responding to any of our help requests. We used Tracksmart for years with no issue at all, and now everything was just wiped without notice or support.

Pros

  • Tracksmart = great
  • Personelle = awful
  • In my opinion, do not use Personelle

Cons

  • In my experience, Personelle needs to provide support
  • In my experience, Personelle needs to provide historical data prior to transition
  • In my opinion, Personelle is an awful solution compared to Tracksmart

Likelihood to Recommend

Tracksmart was great. However, in my experience, Personelle has created a major business issue for us and is non-responsive when it comes to addressing client needs and support. I would warn anyone considering Personelle to strongly reconsider the usage. In my opinion, all positive Tracksmart reviews were posted prior to the Personelle takeover. I suggest you do not use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our Customer Support team uses it to schedule live chat shifts across two different platforms with webchat and SMS chat.

Pros

  • Live updates- when things are updated, everyone can see the changes.
  • We love that you can offer upshifts for others to take so that each team member can get the schedule that works best for them.
  • We love that you can use it on a computer or phone.

Cons

  • We've had a few instances where the site was down and we weren't able to access our schedules which was tricky, so now we save a back up copy to have on hand in case it goes down.
  • There is room for improvement in the notifications.

Likelihood to Recommend

I feel like when you have a handful of people on your team and the shifts change each week, Tracksmart is really a fantastic tool that your team can use to trade shifts and be notified of what their new schedules will be each week. It's helpful to track when employees need time off and make sure they are on time as well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses Tracksmart to track employee's attendance, e.i vacation, sick-day, personal day, PTO, etc. for a little over 3 years. It uses the platform across the whole organization.

Pros

  • The platform is easy to use and it tracks everyone's attendance very well.
  • I like how the system notifies me via email to review and approve employee's days requested.
  • Companies can choose to offer employee's just PTOs or vacation, personal, sick-day, jury duty, bereavement, etc. among other reasons.
  • Last but not least, the system tracks individual employee's days taken and keeps count of the days remaining for each employee, saving the HR administrator time and money for our organization.

Cons

  • The app "Attendance" doesn't allow the employee to change or edit a submitted request. For edit and changes, the employee has to go to the website platform before the request is approved.
  • Their app "Attendance" can be improved to include other features that you're able to use in their website such as filtering employees attendance taken.

Likelihood to Recommend

The system is great for attendance. It is also good for employee's time tracking, however, this feature works well for an organization that pays on a per hourly basis.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is used across the organization. We keep track of when we arrive and leave the office to help get a clear picture of hours worked. The accounting department also uses the hours for auditing purposes. We also use it to request time off and have it approved by management, this helps because we can all see which employees will be out on vacation.

Pros

  • It's easy to use
  • Always works
  • Has helpful features such as the calendar we can all view for PTO

Cons

  • I wish the clock-in and attendance were on the same page
  • Sometime it says it's "resting" when trying to login

Likelihood to Recommend

It is well suited for employees who work on computers and come into the same office each morning and leave each evening. We do not utilize it for employees who work outside the office since it is not as easily accessible remotely from what I know.
