TrackSmart offers online time and attendance software. The vendor aims to help companies spend less time on administration. The software aims to simplify employee time-tracking and scheduling tasks.

Users can build their package based on the features needed. Features include:

Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Tracksmart was purchased by Personelle and, in my experience, it is now officially a Nightmare

We used to use Tracksmart to manage employee time off and weekly timesheets. In our experience, after Personelle took over, all of our historical data was wiped from the system and we were given absolutely NOT notice and NO ONE is responding to any of our help requests. We used Tracksmart for years with no issue at all, and now everything was just wiped without notice or support.
  • Tracksmart = great
  • Personelle = awful
  • In my opinion, do not use Personelle
Tracksmart was great. However, in my experience, Personelle has created a major business issue for us and is non-responsive when it comes to addressing client needs and support. I would warn anyone considering Personelle to strongly reconsider the usage. In my opinion, all positive Tracksmart reviews were posted prior to the Personelle takeover. I suggest you do not use.

  • In my experience, complete mess

Our Customer Support team uses it to schedule live chat shifts across two different platforms with webchat and SMS chat.
  • Live updates- when things are updated, everyone can see the changes.
  • We love that you can offer upshifts for others to take so that each team member can get the schedule that works best for them.
  • We love that you can use it on a computer or phone.
I feel like when you have a handful of people on your team and the shifts change each week, Tracksmart is really a fantastic tool that your team can use to trade shifts and be notified of what their new schedules will be each week. It's helpful to track when employees need time off and make sure they are on time as well.
  • This has really helped save time for scheduling. Previously we used google sheets and our large team of 75 were all fighting for shifts and writing over each other's names to claim shifts. Now we assign the shifts and they are able to see their shifts and trade shifts with each other.
  • Having one place that everyone can go to but have their own views and logins has been very helpful vs having one document that everyone sees all at the same time. There is more accuracy and it's much more compliant and easy to use. Our employees are happier and they don't complain as much about scheduling.
  • We have better coverage because we can see the schedule better and know exactly who is supposed to be working when and our employees have easy access to their phones of what their schedule is.
We feel like Tracksmart has all of the features that we need for our team to schedule live chat shifts. The ability to trade shifts has been hugely helpful for our team and we love the user-friendly flexibility of the software.
Tracksmart has been very helpful when we have problems with our scheduling or questions about how to do different tasks. They are responsive and it's always a positive experience when we interact with them.

Our organization uses Tracksmart to track employee's attendance, e.i vacation, sick-day, personal day, PTO, etc. for a little over 3 years. It uses the platform across the whole organization.
  • The platform is easy to use and it tracks everyone's attendance very well.
  • I like how the system notifies me via email to review and approve employee's days requested.
  • Companies can choose to offer employee's just PTOs or vacation, personal, sick-day, jury duty, bereavement, etc. among other reasons.
  • Last but not least, the system tracks individual employee's days taken and keeps count of the days remaining for each employee, saving the HR administrator time and money for our organization.
The system is great for attendance. It is also good for employee's time tracking, however, this feature works well for an organization that pays on a per hourly basis.
  • The system has allowed me to save time as the HR administrator by avoiding misunderstandings with staff because it keeps a good track record of the days taken.
  • It saves the organization money as it allows the HR administrator to focus on important employee matters rather than attendance.
  • The system is simple and easy to use and does the job really well.
Tracksmart is very simple to use compared to ClickTime. Tracksmart keeps a good count of PTOs, vacation, personal sick-days, etc. Which saves the organization a lot of time as everyone knows the remaining days available.

It is used across the organization. We keep track of when we arrive and leave the office to help get a clear picture of hours worked. The accounting department also uses the hours for auditing purposes. We also use it to request time off and have it approved by management, this helps because we can all see which employees will be out on vacation.
  • It's easy to use
  • Always works
  • Has helpful features such as the calendar we can all view for PTO
It is well suited for employees who work on computers and come into the same office each morning and leave each evening. We do not utilize it for employees who work outside the office since it is not as easily accessible remotely from what I know.
  • Makes employees more accountable
  • Easier to request time off rather than taking management's time up - they can view requests at their convenience
  • Some employees don't like it and don't utilize it consistently - might be better if it could be some sort of clock-in icon on desktop instead of a website window that needs to be opened.
I have never used another clock in service.
