Testim works quite well
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use it for web and SalesForce application testing. Previously conducting tests via Selenium WebDriver and a host of other hacked together tools. Some folks left the org which created a huge problem in maintaining the test framework as UI updates became more frequent. Many scripts would completely break and the locators no longer worked correctly. Tricentis Testim removed the barrier for newer folks to rebuild these scripts which freed up a ton of time.
Pros
- AI "Smart Locators" for dynamic applications
- Manual testers don't have to code, but they can
- Easy to use, simple UI
Cons
- Bit on the costlier side
- Working with other browser extensions
- Reuse of scripts in opensource tools
Likelihood to Recommend
Simplistic and fast testing of web applications as well as our SalesForce CRM. Manual testers are now moving much more quickly, away from spending so much time building tests and now spending much more time on executing the tests and working on the improvement opportunities found. It does feel like it would be difficult to get off of, but the efficiency gains are hard to argue with.
