Truework is saving time and sanity!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We partnered with Truework to handle our internal employment verifications. Our internal HR department was handling a large number of these manually and spending a lot of time doing so. These could be past employment verifications, mortgage/loan income breakdowns, current employment verifications, etc. Truework has allowed our team to save approximately 8-10 hours a week we would have spent manually completing verifications and use that time for process improvements, better/faster service to our associates through the People Operations inbox, etc. Our associates are also having a better experience with much faster turnaround times, and the ability to self-generate verification letters, as well as the built in authorization step that gives our associates the autonomy to deny Truework giving out their information if they don't recognize the requestor.

Cons

  • Our reps can be hard to contact. The general support email is great, but we have had a hard time contacting specific people when it's not a Support related matter.
  • The look of the self-generated letters could be better - we'd love the ability to upload our Company letterhead and have that be used for consistency and branding.

Likelihood to Recommend

Truework may not be ideal for companies with a large quantity of complex earning codes, as the code mapping can get messy. We've found some difficulty with finding a solution for international companies we have acquired. Otherwise, Truework has suited us very well, and sends us emails to complete verifications for someone they can't find in the records we've sent over. We utilize a good number of contractors and we've decided not to send that information to Truework, so we always need to do those manually when Truework lets us know the associate in question can't be found.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Truework services will be used by our entire organization. We had a dedicated resource to manage the employment verification process. By outsourcing the verification process, we would be using our resources more strategically. It is a fairly simple process where employees complete a request via the Truework website and they receive the letter within two business days.

Pros

  • The staff is very knowledgeable and competent. We shared our data and they were able to convert the information as per they requirements.
  • We spent very little time in integrating with them.
  • We were able to integrate using the available resources and did not need to create complex reports.

Cons

  • Truework was not able to set up a file feed with our HRIS system. The project was very expensive when we worked with our system vendor.
  • We are sharing files via SFTP but, all files are not view able after uploading.
  • We have outsourced our administrative work but the system is not fully automated. We do need to transfer files via SFTP a couple of times every week.

Likelihood to Recommend

Truework is well suited for large companies with many employees and a small sized HR department. With 2000 employees our team was constantly responding to 30 requests every day as many are urgent in nature.

We are happy with their services. But, it would be nice to automate the file transfer process with Truework. There are limited employees in HR with unlimited access. We have set up internal reminders and are working as a tag team to share files with Truework.
