Inexpensive but functional
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I use WhatsApp as a lead generation tool. I have a digital marketing company that serves countries across the GCC. My website is connected to WhatsApp, which allows me to chat with my clients and leads from different regions and countries. This allows me to keep my number attached as well in case of calls. Sth between a chatbot and a phone service.
Pros
- Acts as a phone number
- Acts as a chatbot
- Allows me to connect to services like Instagram and Facebook
Cons
- UI/UX of WhatsApp has room for improvement. The goal should be to add more features for business interactions outside of the everyday messenger. (interface wise, not feature wise)
- Multi-device use is added but it's still not as flexible and fast as other messengers like Telegram
- File transfer is time consuming and troublesome. It also has limits.
Likelihood to Recommend
You can connect WhatsApp to your site or app and use it as a chat service to communicate with your leads. It's easy and free to setup. It's also a service you already use on your phone so it won't be just another app added to the list. This is important as it will help you declutter and focus on active communication with your leads without the needed mutliple apps and signing in, etc.
