IFS company WorkWave offers PestPac, a pest control business management solution, available to support smaller and enterprise level (PestPac Select) solutions, boasting an integratable payment solution (WorkWave Payments), and integrated marketing (WorkWave Marketing).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

PestPac is has a lot of pros and a few cons. The pros are it is really customizable with a one size fits all - you can be a small, medium, or large organization and be able to make PestPac work for you. That also comes with some cons as it can add a layer of complexity which can make it harder to train someone. It isn't a plug and play software and everyone uses the software a little differently so what works for one may not work for someone else. It has great reporting and open API which allows us to optimize our functionality of the software. Some of the cons would be around the cost. It feels like there is a lot of nickel and dime-ing for features that should be relatively standard. When it comes to scheduling, I don't know of any better product out there though. It is great when it comes to route optimization and the efficiencies we gain through that is pretty impactful.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use WorkWave PestPac as our main productivity software. All of our customer information goes through WorkWave PestPac. We use it for customer service, scheduling, routing our employees, documenting our work, documenting customer interaction, billing, lead tracking, and even marketing. We even integrate it with other software platforms, such as our phone systems.

  • Easy to search for a customer by many different data points
  • Has a lot of customization features, such as naming service types and preset notes

Cons

  • Not very user friendly
  • Reports are difficult to create and figure out
  • Not easy to find the correct place to go for things such as settings or data points

Return on Investment

  • WorkWave PestPac has certainly improved our time management by getting us off of paper scheduling. It allows us to map and easily move appointments which makes our techs more efficient
  • Having all documentation stored digitally and be locked to the correct account helps us stay compliant
