Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting

MIP Fund Accounting is used for accounting and grant management purposes.

Pros

  • Expense Distributions
  • Canned Financial Reports
  • Ease of use

Cons

  • The ability to cut and paste items from similar screens and also cut and paste into Excel.
  • The ability to better track grant expenses and revenue.
  • Only transitions have been from hosting by MPCA to hosted by Abila and to cloud - seamless for the most part.
We've had one employee who used QuickBooks say that they felt QuickBooks was more user friendly and made corrections a lot easier.
In general it works well for a nonprofit. The only short coming I'm currently experiencing is being able to track my different grant revenue and expenditures which is probably more a user deficiency than a software issue.
