Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Absorb LMS for onboarding, tracking course activity (online and in-person), delivering discipline-specific training for selected learners, documenting external training and centralizing resources for staff. We purchased Absorb LMS in 2016 as part of our Operational Readiness initiative which involved moving staff from 11 sites down to 4 sites. This tool was a major blessing in 2020 when staff had to work remotely and we were able to leverage Absorb LMS to get content out to staff who were no longer coming to our treatment centres. In the coming year, we're excited about using the Observation Checklist and the Reviewer Experience!!!

Pros and Cons

My Client Success Managers at Absorb LMS have always been easily accessible and very committed to solving problems regardless of the scope.
The Support Team always replies to my technical requests in a timely manner and will often provide additional tips and tricks to help me understand some of what's happening at the back-end.
Absorb does a fantastic job of allowing System Administrators to connect with each other and encouraging us to suggest ways to improve the software to make it more functional for our organizations.
The Communications Team is very consistent in providing updates on any outages or errors that may affect the system as well as sharing news about exciting upcoming features/upgrades.

The only thing that comes to mind is having more information available to System Administrators about when popular suggestions will be implemented.

We are an organization of fewer than 1000 people and Absorb LMS is well-suited to our current needs for onboarding, discipline-specific training, sharing resources for all staff, tracking course activity, and documenting events that happen outside of Absorb LMS. My rationale for the 10/10 rating is that we are likely using only 15-20% of the system's features at this point and there are many opportunities to make internal processes more efficient/streamlined once we start to implement even more features included with Absorb LMS.

I'm often approached by my managers and supervisors to see if Absorb LMS can deliver a training initiative they've got in mind and the answer is almost always "Yes". Absorb LMS is the only one we'll ever need as we grow and get more of our educational content online.
