Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

We need to train both internal learners as well as a large contingent of dealer, distributor, and customer learners. We create and purchase training for our products and system, technical basics, and personal/professional development courses. Our learners are mainly service technicians and parts professionals that interact with our products. There are also customer learners that perform maintenance, basic repairs, and operate our products.

Pros

  • Support has always been good, but has gotten even better in the last 4 years.
  • Customization is robust - any kind of training program or modality you want to put in AbsorbLMS will function as you want it to.
  • Listening to customers - they have Idea Boards where I can add something they should consider for future features. I can vote up others' ideas, and many of their software updates have come from these ideas.
  • Integrations - Absorb LMS can have integrations with multiple different platforms in order to make the LMS and its data more powerful.

Cons

  • Absorb Analyze dashboards are not fully user friendly. It has been a learning curve to do the simple dashboards I'd like to use to illustrate the data.
  • Our distributor technicians have decreased calls to our technical assistance line.
  • Fixed right the first time percentages have increased.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings given to the distributor have increased over the last 4 years.

A key part of our role-based certification program is a carefully-curated set of personal/professional development courses, which Amplify has met in an exceptional way, with they huge library. We are still new to the Absorb API, but expect that having the data in Power BI will allow us to compare to other metrics to prove the impact of our training.
They respond promptly, give detailed answers with screenshots, and asks permission before creating test users, copy courses, and before refreshing the sandbox environment.

We have a role-based certification program, which works well within the Absorb system. I set up automatic enrollment in the next level when the previous one is completed. I've added digital badge images when levels are achieved. There are reports I've had sent to me automatically to complete the achievement-recognition process.
