Overall Satisfaction with Acronis Cyber Protect

We use Acronis Cyber Protect for some of our clients in order to back up business critical workstations. Recently we had to carry out a full system restore to new hard drive and the Acronis backup worked perfectly for this.

Pros

  • Runs on a predetermined schedule
  • Protects the entire server from complete failure
  • Easy to restore

Cons

  • Could be slightly easier to use - sometimes the interface and options can be overwhelming
  • It would be good if you could back up endpoints to your own offsite data location, via rsync for example
  • It has helped us to easily and affodably recover from hardware failure
  • It reduces the cost of our backup and recovery
Its very good and feature rich, but it can be just a little bit complicated to set up.
Cyber Protect has more comprehensive list of features and its better for business critical systems

Its well suited when you want to back up full systems so that you can restore the entire system/operating system even if the hardware has failed. Its less suited in my opinion to simple backups for example when you want to back up just files on a workstation (Because it feels a little over-complicated for that task).
