Overall Satisfaction with Adaptive Insights

Adaptive Insights has been implemented for all three of our business lines as well as our corporate division for annual budgeting and forecasting. We also use it for some monthly reporting. The main goal of the implementation was to solve our budgeting woes, which it did immediately, but we're also finding many other uses for it that we didn't plan on.
  • The scalability of the product was key. We started with only one division and when we decided to roll out to the entire company there were no issues with capacity.
  • Being cloud-based was also important. We utilize the product with ZERO I/T involvement.
  • Single view of the entire company. With previous solutions it was always a difficult process to "roll up" the budget to see the big picture. Adaptive Insights instantly gives you the high level and bottom line.
  • Their reporting module is great, but I think it could be improved upon. Their OfficeConnect product is a huge step forward in that direction.
  • The Discovery product also needs some attention. At first glance it's a great tool, but when I started diving into it I realized it has quite a few limitations. I think it has enormous potential.
  • I would like to see some more structure around the creation and maintenance of the accounts structures. It's almost too easy to create accounts with little to no organization. Implementation of a strict naming scheme is left up to the end user.
  • Adaptive has definitely cut the length of our budget process/season. What used to take us 5-6 months is now down to 3 and during that time the process is much simpler and less frustrating.
  • Financially the product is far more affordable than many other solutions. We saved thousands a year by ditching our old solution and implementing Adaptive.
  • No I/T involvement is also important to note. This allows us to get started, make changes, generate reports, create new metrics when the business needs them, not when I/T can get around to it.
Like many other companies, we once budgeted using Excel. We most recently used Horizon. Excel is obviously not the way to budget with hudrends of locations and users. Horizon was difficult to roll up multiple divisions into a high level view. Our users were frustrated and spent a lot of time entering data and then waiting for a roll up.

Adaptive solves these issues by giving us an easily deloyed solution to many users across the country and as soon as those users hit save we can see a high level company-wide budget number. That kind of instant view is priceless.
Adaptive Insights is a great solution for companies that want to give budget ownership to their department heads and management, instead of relying on the accounting and finance team. It's also great for companies that are spread out geographically since it's cloud based and provides instant results.

We just recently renewed our contract and I wouldn't hesitate to renew again. First, Adaptive as a company has a great customer-first attitude and they're great to work with. Their customer service team is fantastic. Second, they are constantly trying to improve the product and make it better, but not losing sight of what we really need. Also, the longer you use the product the more it is filled with priceless data all in one spot with instant access to report on and dig into.
