Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly
I use it as a part of Photoshop, which has generative features based on Firefly. I teach Photoshop in my classroom in Visual Design Fundamentals course. Firefly is applied in an educational environment to prepare future creatives to feel adept in the world of advancing use of AI. We offer the course twice a year, so about 50 to 60 students use Firefly per year.
Pros
- It does a great job creating backgrounds for Photoshop images.
- It responds well to tweaking descriptions in the textual prompt.
- It is very easy to use.
Cons
- It takes time to learn how to communicate precisely through prompts.
- It could have a better rendition in terms of visual styles.
- It could have a feature where the visual style of the image into which it pastes AI content is replicated in this content.
- It is hard for me to say as I use it in an educational environment.
- It will have an ROI for the companies my students work at.
- It removes the need for spending resources on mundane designing tasks.
I tried to find Dall-e in the list as it is more closely related to Adobe Firefly. The closest to Dall-e that I used is ChatGPT. It is definitely not the same as it is uses language not image. I actually enjoy the fact that Firefly is not trying to pretend it is a human and just stays an impersonal tool.
