Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly
Use it for generally cleaning up images and creating elements to add to images in order to create a more lively overall image, or a less cluttered image to support the narrative needed.
It’s not currently a huge scope of issues that I use it for, but it is very handy and definitely reduces time required.
Pros
- Generate hero images
- create icons / adjust icons
- generative fill for images
- removing items from images
Cons
- Doesn’t feel as good as something like dall-e yet.
- photorealism isn’t quite there yet
- The payment method
- It’s probably freed up about 5-10 percent more time for me to focus on complexities of my job
In general I think they are comparable in some ways. I think the image generation is still a bit more sophisticated for dall-e but the gap continues to be closed. Photorealism seems to be the one area I notice the biggest gap but in my line of work it’s not that big of a concern.
