Overall Satisfaction with AlienVault USM

AlienVault is being extensively used to monitor critical systems. USM provides an easy to use interface that allows us to drill down to a forensic level. The automated ticketing system provides the security team with a 24-hour view and highlights any areas for further investigation.
  • Setup is incredibly quick and easy, and provides instant results
  • Asset discovery couldn't be easier, just a couple of clicks
  • USM provides a centralised view of the full IT landscape including IoT
  • Threat reporting can occasionally be vague, reporting back a generic issue
  • It would be great to add specific threats or exclusions (this may already be there, I haven't looked for it yet though)
By far the quickest and easiest results were found with USM, and when coupled with the price, USM is an amazing value for money.
USM provides an incredibly quick and easy way to increase the company's security posture by providing multiple information channels into a single pane of glass. Plugins can be developed to widen the scope of SIEM by including non-traditional IT systems e.g. door entry or carpark systems.

Yes - With a small team, it's worth having premium support as a comfort blanket. Incredibly quick response and very knowledgeable support team.
On first installation they contacted us and ran through various checks to ensure we were getting maximum benefit, then made a couple of suggestions to further enhance benefits.
