Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx Analytics

Alteryx Analytics was being used by a team I was working with that wanted to check different Analytical software available in the market to see which one would be the best suited for our purpose. We wanted to be able to repeatedly analyze the same kind of data from different sources. Alteryx made our life easier by making it really easy to blend data from different kinds of sources.
  • It's great at blending data from different sources. I loved how easy it was.
  • There is a huge variety of visualizations that are available as well.
  • A lot of drag and drop options available for different workflows.
  • Open APIs available are a great help.
  • I would love better training videos on their website.
  • Trying to automate the workflow is at an additional cost.
  • If we happen to skip a few versions of Alteryx then it gets difficult to get accustomed to newer versions.

I had used RapidMiner before and Alteryx is way ahead of it in every aspect. I also have used IBM Watson to some extent and preferred Alteryx because of its blending capabilities, ease of use for everyone on the team and the ability to easily use R with it (as R was the second most popular language we used). I have heard IBM SPSS has some features better than Alteryx but haven't had a chance to use it as yet. At this point though we do not think we are moving anywhere away from Alteryx.
That is the best feature according to me. I could use data from a wide range of sources and it was pretty easy to merge all of them which isn't really an easy thing to do. It makes our life a lot easier when the blending capabilities are so easy to manage. Don't have to worry about having only a specific type of data source.
It is very easy to share the platform with a given set of users which makes collaboration really easy. Access control makes it easier for us to give access to different teams for viewing some of the parts with which they might be working without having to worry about the rest getting disturbed.
I know I have stated this already, but it really is very helpful for blending data from different sources. [It's] great where the people using it do not know coding. Love the drag and drop options. Makes life really easy. Could be a hassle trying to learn it for the first time due to the quality of training videos. It is improving a lot day by day and I love the way they are going with the product.
