Overall Satisfaction with Altium 365

Altium Designer provides cutting edge PCB design tools ready for tackling the most complex of projects. Integration with Altium 365 allows a single storage location with multiple users working concurrently without any downtime. From prototypes to mass production and even mechanical integration we load up Altium Designer and make use the multi-board function. This can be incredibly useful as opposing to exporting into another design suite, the mechanical aspects of a project can be verified there and then whilst the PCB is still being designed.

Altium 365 is very user friendly, it has a get up and go out of the box type of useability. It's very easy to learn, and a majority of the features are straightforward to implement. Everything is logical in the flow of the software in terms of where features are located.
Whilst KiCad is very popular and can certainly do the job, Altium Designer is the professional engineers tool of choice. When money is being spent not only on software but supply chains, offices, staff then it makes sense to have the best design software available. Altium Designer is miles ahead of KiCad but of course both can do the job depending upon what is being designed. Altium is more geared towards professional business, high speed digital design and keeping track of supply chains with the use of active BOMs.

Altium 365 is particularly well-suited for collaborative design teams, especially those working across locations or in remote and hybrid environments, as it enables real-time collaboration, version control, and seamless access to the latest PCB designs. Its browser-based design review and commenting features make it ideal for integrating hardware teams with other departments, such as software or mechanical engineering, as well as for validating and approving designs with managers or clients who do not require full Altium Designer software.
