Overall Satisfaction with Amazon DynamoDB

DynamoDB is used by one of the many departments of our company. We were looking for some sort of NoSQL database to use to store some operational data and user records. We were implementing some AWS services and got to know DynamoDB. After careful study, we decided to use it to solve our problem.
  • It is compatible with MongoDB.
  • It is fast.
  • It is scalable. we do not have to worry about outage.
  • MongoDB is not fully compatible
  • Some functions are limited
  • Can be hard to learn
  • It boosts our productivity
  • It reduces our cost of database
  • It brings more options regarding database.
We use all of them in different scenarios. The reason we use DynamoDb is that we have already implemented AWS Services in our production environment. Deploying DynamoDB service is relatively easier than others. Therefore, we choose to use DynamoDB. it also brings great benefits to our developers team. We do not have to use a complicated API anymore.
If you company has already implemented an AWS environment and seeks to have noSQL service, DynamoDB is definitely the way to go. It has great performance. And it scales well. But if you are trying to shop around among different cloud providers, you can check first. For personal use, it is easy and fast to deploy as well.
If you are in a company that seeks to implement NoSQL service to save the hassles of a relational database, DynamoDB is the service to use. Especially if you use Amazon Web Service already. It can be a huge help to your company's data structure. It saves you a lot of money as you pay as you go.
