Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used by the Corporate department for various use cases. Use cases range from revenue recognition to resource management. The primary use case is revenue recognition. Anaplan does calculate revenue by month and LTD across many projects across its entire life. It does also help with creating reporting and dashboarding to support the analysis.

Anaplan is good as a calculation engine if you have already prototyped a solution. You take that prototype and move to Anaplan to make a custom solution. It's great for anything that requires in-memory calculation. Unfortunately, Anaplan is not a transactional system due to its synchronous nature of updates. API still follows synchronous updates so it's not good if you want to do parallel read/write.
