Connected Planning Tool that Changes Companies Ability to Forecast I use Anaplan to create demo models to showcase to clients for HR/Finance/Energy/Biopharma use cases. For example, creating a 2-year workforce planning model that integrates net income from an FP&A model to identify company growth, plan employee costs, and identify gaps in the company's profile is an excellent way this tool transforms planning In all models, scenario planning is an easy section of each model that allows companies to prep for unknowns and allow real-time business decisions.
  • Long term and short term volume planning for the energy sector.
  • Scenario plan.
  • Create a single source of truth.
  • Connected planning by integrating parts of a company that currently do not Communicate well enough.
  • Eliminate spreadsheets.
  • Provide transparency into all planning logic as numbers and model logic is transparent.
  • AI/ML - this is an area the tool is currently improving in.
  • Mobile experience.
  • Speed- the tool calculates or applies adjustments at sub second speeds.
  • Transparency - the values are not hidden.
  • Security permissions - the tool can be used for all hierarchies of the organization.
  • Anaplan has provided incremental returns.

Anaplan is a great solution for a company that has trouble: Due to cumbersome spreadsheets Departments not communicating Understanding where a forecast came from apply bottoms-up or tops down adjustments Planning and entering inputs at a top or lower level of their business area's (planning hierarchy) Creating a single source of truth generating a rolling forecast needing to scenario plan.
