Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
I use Anaplan to design and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial planning cycles. Prior to using Anaplan I used to have to do this in Excel which can be inefficient, prone to human error, and difficult to audit. Anaplan has helped me in all of these areas. The specific use cases that I use Anaplan for are to produce a forecasted P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Workforce Plan.
- Collaboration amongst previously siloed teams
- Integration and consolidation of data from disparate sources
- Can be updated and managed by business users
- ALM is helpful, but could use improvement
- Size constraints are often an issue
- Out-of-the-box solutions are not very mature
- Quicker turnaround of forecasts
- Quicker forecasts lead to more time for strategic analysis
- Less man hours needed to prepare forecasts
Excel can be incredibly cumbersome, inefficient, prone to human error, and difficult to audit. Anaplan helps solve for this by providing an easy-to-use interface, connected planning modules, and security and tracking around the input and approval process. Anaplan is a much better tool for any company that is managing a large number of excel files.
