Overall Satisfaction with AppDynamics

We use AppDynamics for application observability within the company. APM ,EUM and Synthetics with ThousandEyes Integration play a critical role for monitoring our applications within the firm.

Pros

  • End User Monitoring
  • New User Friendly
  • Ability to Determine Root Cause Analysis

Cons

  • Product Enhancements with OTEL Data
  • Ability to handle Enterprise Volumes in the DEM platform as well as stability in the cSaaS DEM Platform
  • RBAC Permissions need to be better for large enterprise companies
  • Reduce MTTR on p1 Issues
  • Capacity Planning for Virtual Machines
  • SLO / SLA objectives met for DEM teams

AppDynamics has the ability to detect problems with Anomaly Detection in APM as well as the ability to help troubleshoot customer facing issues within the DEM platform. It does not do a good job about showing business journeys for specific transactions that spans across multiple applications.
