Overall Satisfaction with AppDynamics

As a monitoring team we use AppDynamics to triage outages for our network applications and systems that affect our outside customers. The data provided is given to support teams to better provide uptime.

Pros

  • It allows us to drill down to see telemetry for apps
  • It's easy to access from all of our locations
  • We are able to diagnose multiple systems

Cons

  • Sometimes the response time can be improved
  • The data is sometimes inconsistent but rarely
  • It allows us to watch systems in real time
Splunk tends to give us latency where AppDynamics has been consistent
