Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Within my organization, I use Apple Numbers to create spreadsheets displaying monthly expenses, expenditures and other numeric data. We use the program on a weekly basis and export the spreadsheets as PDF attachments. It helps our organization stay organized and easily and efficiently access shared client data between different devices.

Usability

Apple Numbers is pretty intuitive and easy to use. I find it much easier to navigate than its competitor Google Sheets because it seems to have a much simpler interface. It is also easily integrated within Apple devices, so there is no need for additional logins, subscription fees, or software access.

Google Sheets

Apple Numbers lags behind Google Sheets when it comes to real-time collaboration and editing between multiple users (especially when you consider that Numbers is iOS based and anyone can use Google Sheets, regardless of the kind of device and operating system they have). However, Numbers is easier to navigate, which can be a benefit for some users.

Apple Numbers is well suited for users who want to use software that is pre-loaded onto their Apple device, rather than logging onto Google Workspace to use Google Sheets, or paying a subscription for a software like Microsoft Excel. In my opinion, if you need to collaborate with other users on the spreadsheet, Apple Numbers is not a great choice.
