Overall Satisfaction with ApptioOne
Cost transparency for IT is our primary use case. That enables accurate budgeting and forecasting of technology cost for the organization. We use ApptioOne for reporting IT costs and cost drivers to executive stakeholders to drive accountability for decisions impacting technology cost. Apptio One helps us to understand and communicate the cost of IT in terms that resonate across finance, IT, and operations; namely by application, service line, and consuming business unit.
- The ATUM model and its configuration provide a trusted taxonomy for costs
- The participative planning and budgeting process enabled by the product increases transparency into forecasted cost and allows for understanding service options prior to costs being incurred.

We use ApptioOne for our annual IT budget process and monthly rolling forecasts. Data is ingested from our CMDB and PPM tools in an automated and repeatable process enabling easier system management. The ability to configure end user permissions to enable a participatory forecasting process has been key for driving accountability for costs.

We recently stood up Targetprocess and it's been received well by our end users. It's still too new to comment much on how the multiple solutions work together at my organization. I anticipate an acceleration of our delivery and increased alignment with business stakeholders as we leverage the products concurrently.
