Software Version

Apricot 360

Overall Satisfaction with Apricot by Social Solutions

We run school programs and we use them to track attendance, mentor, and administer pre-post testing of our students.
  • organizes attendance
  • student profiles
  • variety of features
  • the phone app interface. Students can't locate the submit buttons on some phones
  • expensive
  • confusing to set up - not intuitive
  • running reports
  • No positive ROI yet. Thus far it has cost us a lot of extra time and money without much ROI. It's been hard to run reports and we could have done these on excel sheets. We are thinking about going back to using other methods of tracking due to the high cost of the software and training costs. Still undecided
  • Cost impact
  • Time impact
Not yet. Still spending a lot of time trying to set up the database to allow us to scale. There always seems to be a glitch and we lose important data when we survey our youth. We only get one shot and when the software or the set-up isn't working it hurts us. As I mentioned the phone app needs some work. Our students used the phone to take the survey and we missed most of them because they couldn't find an easy submit button. You had to scroll up and over to find it instead of at the bottom of the survey. This impacted us greatly.
It has not helped.
Not sure why it was selected. Both have pros and cons. Apricot is geared more towards being able to track school programs and services.

No

Yes

Did Bonterra Case Management live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Bonterra Case Management go as expected?

No

Would you buy Bonterra Case Management again?

No

It can track attendance of programs, workshops, and classes; student profile features; uploading of forms and docs within the student profiles is a good feature. The setup is confusing and the week-long training left out major areas needed to properly set up Apricot 360. It resulted in lost time and building the platform incorrectly. It isn't well suited for non-profits who can't afford such a high program software cost year after year.
