Overall Satisfaction with Arena
Arena is being used by the organization to track configurations of various items developed by the company. The feature that is used most in Arena is the Bill of Material feature. The Bill of Material feature provides a concise list of items required for our contractors to build each one of the items.
Pros
- Bill of materials for assemblies
- Development of change orders
- Ability to use the same items in different product assemblies
Cons
- An easier way to export a bill of materials
- An easier method to add users
- An easier method to add items to the category tree
- Easier to track changes in the product line
- Ability to set up qualification testing builds
- Minimizes costs by providing exact items needed for builds
- Product Features
Arena was purchased prior to my joining the company so I had no input into the recommendation to purchase Arena. From my understanding, though, Arena was purchased because it provided what the company thought they needed at the time of purchase. However, Arena seems to be continually updated with better and better features.
I have not used any other products.
