Overall Satisfaction with Aruba Networks Wireless WAN

We were looking for a brand that could provide all our locations with a Wireless solution. This ranges from office location(s) with 300 users to sports halls and public swimming pools which all need different types of devices due to their characters. All these locations and devices should be manageable from a cloud-based interface. Aruba provides a wide range of devices that suited our use case and is manageable from the cloud.
  • Stable devices
  • Broad range of devices to choose from
  • Insightfull management pane
  • Ability to manage devices from anywhere
  • Simplified connection to Microsoft Azure
  • Availability of device addon's
  • Give even more information in the management pane
  • Easily extendable
  • Broad range of devices
  • Easily manageble from the cloud
  • Less travelling to other location for troubleshooting
  • Addon's for wifi devices are expensive which can negatively influence your ROI
  • Less time managing and keeping devices up to date due to one management interface.
We used Xirrus wifi before we moved to Aruba. Xirrus is a great niche brand that has been sold to other companies a few times in the life we used the products. This negatively impacted the product availability in our country, local support, and amount of implementation partners. Due to Aruba their broad product range, availability in the market, and knowledge with implementation partners we feel that we can build upon their products not only for a product cycle but for the decade to come.

Would you buy Aruba Networks Wireless WAN again?

Yes

Aruba Networks is a product that is broadly available and there are many implementation partners available to design and implement the infrastructure for you. Aruba Networks is great if you are looking for a partner that offers a broad range of devices. It can keep a multi-location infrastructure simple once the management interface is set up. Aruba is less appropriate if you want to do a simple setup with a few devices where you want to be up and running quickly. The management interface can be a hassle to set up and if you want Azure integration you are better off contacting an implementation partner that has dealt with this before.
