Overall Satisfaction with Assembly Neos

I use Neos every day to organize and reference documents for personal injury cases. Neos holds medical records, client-provided documents, and attorney-drafted documents. When writing demands or mediation statements, it is especially helpful that Neos displays when a document was created, the time a document was last opened, and the user who last opened a document.

Pros

  • Has specific tabs for categories of documents
  • Has a "search within document" feature to find text within a document
  • Easy search system for clients and case contacts

Cons

  • Updates often cause some user/loading issues the next day
  • Neos should show if another user has already tagged an email into the file; we end up with lots of duplicates.
  • Neos should organize the emails saved to a file chronologically by when they were sent/received, not when they were saved in.
  • By tracking the user that created the document, Neos has made it easier to track and demonstrate my particular work contributions.
Most days I have no issues and find it very easy to search. There are occasional issues loading documents after updates that slow my work. I find the email/notes section of Neos pretty disorganized, especially when multiple people in the firm save the same email to case file at different times, so the conversations are redundant and out-of-order within the file.

Do you think Assembly Neos delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Assembly Neos's feature set?

Yes

Did Assembly Neos live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Assembly Neos go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Assembly Neos again?

Yes

Neos has been great for storing all documents in ordinary cases. In some very complicated cases, it would have been helpful to be able to create folders within the tabs. For example, in cases with voluminous discovery, it would be nice to create folders that contain the discovery request pleading and the documents provided in response to that particular request.
