Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use Avanan across the whole organization. We use it for protecting our emails in terms of phishing primarily, but also for monitoring and protecting Sharepoint/Onedrive.

We recently deployed the tool in a partner company that is currently using Google Workspace (formerly G Suite). In that case, we implemented the tool for filtering emails and monitoring Google Drive.

The support team is really responsive and works great.

We implemented Avanan on our Office 365 environment when Avanan was recently released so we encountered some issues at some point, and the team was really responsive and helpful in working with us and guiding us on how to work through the issues.

Usability

Avanan is a great tool for email filtering.

As mentioned before, this tool is really easy to use and implement.

The user implementation was really easy too. Users at this point recognize the tool and what it does and know how to request email release or evaluation, and for us the managers, helps us a lot in preventing malicious emails to arrive in users mailboxes.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need a simple tool (that works great), and it's easy to implement for filtering malicious emails and DLP, Avanan is a great choice. We are currently using Avanan on Office 365 and Google Workspace Suite environments and in both the tool works great.

In comparison with Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Avanan is way less expensive and easier to work with.
