Overall Satisfaction with Avatao

All of our development teams have to complete some tasks on Avatao every couple of months. We use it to raise awareness about security and focus mainly on the OWASP top 10.
  • Hands-on exercises. We are far from any type of simulation or static content; Avatao provides real applications to train with and focuses both on exploitation and code fixing.
  • It is a great option for remote security training.
  • The modules represent real-life issues, which is an advantage.
  • They could implement Ruby in the exercises.
  • Using the platform for us was a first step in teaching secure code best practices on a large scale.
  • Implementing training increases overall security within the company.
  • Our security culture evolves by doing trainings on a regular basis.

It is good for overall security training. They allow you to target the training for many different tech stacks. The platform gives you much more than a video or tutorial. The core concept seems to be learning by doing, and that works pretty well. I haven't met any scenario where the platform is less appropriate.
