Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Barracuda Backup to backup data across our entire enterprise. We backed up all recent versions of Windows and Red Hat Linux servers both physical and virtualized with VMware ESXi as well as SQL Server Databases.

Overall not impressed with Barracuda backup and we decided to move away from it. I wasn't involved in the selection but the organization has had it for years when the market was very different.

From my experience, it was not a good product for our sized enterprise we quickly outgrow the appliance and there is no easy way to add storage. The backups worked well for use while we used the product but once we grew there wasn't a way to expand without replacing it.
