Overall Satisfaction with Barracuda Security Awareness Training (formerly Barracuda Phishline)

We experienced some problems in the past with targeted phishing mails. We use Barracuda Security Awareness Training now to train our users to recognise fake and harmful mails. On a regular basis, we also send out a training campaign with some video material to educate them about this.

Pros

  • We can create our own campaigns using mails that are regularly received
  • We can add our internal resources as landing pages
  • We can send out video material to train our staff

Cons

  • As a non IT-er, it is not always simple to use the interface
  • Sometimes it is not very fast
  • Sending out mails to large databases feels tricky
  • Train the user to recognise a false mail
  • Send out video campaigns
  • Manage multiple address books for external companies
  • Staff is more aware
  • Training is already available
  • Library with lots of ready campaigns

It looks old and not from 2022 when you take a look at the user interface, but it does the job well. You create a phishing or training campaign, and you send it out to the correct database. When you have TEP from Barracuda, it is certainly a no-brainer as it is already included.
