We use the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT in our fundraising office. Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is rebranded as Raiser's Edge in the fundraising business. It helps a small school like ours manage relationships with our donors and community.
  • A unified source of email and other contact information.
  • Mass email platform to contact all of our constituents.
  • Provide a starting point for any prospect research that we need to do.
  • Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is missing some integrations to web platforms like Wix.
  • Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT also does not connect easily to social media platforms.
  • The product can be expensive for smaller businesses.
  • Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT has helped us with maintaining directory information for our community.
  • This product has helped us communicate more effectively with our constituent.

Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT is great for an independent/private school. It integrates well with enrollment and student information systems sold by Blackbaud. For example, you could send data from the student information system straight into the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT. The caveat of course is that you would need to be using other Blackbaud products to leverage this integration. However, all Blackbaud products utilize open APIs so with a little programming, one can share data across many systems.

Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT Implementation

The implementation can be easy depending on how familiar you are with Blackbaud products. It is cloud based so there is not a need for IT involvement but you do need to know your business requirement.
