Use Cases and Deployment Scope

we use it for accounting, payables general ledger, reporting, issuing checks and doing the bank reconciliation.

if you are a new user, the reports are not very intuitive, you need to have board criteria's. there are no 'canned' reports, so you have to build your own, but once built, they are there to edit what your needs are for reporting.

Pros and Cons

applying manual checks to invoices
being able to export listings of vendors invoices for review or sending to vendor

putting in new vendors, i go to the data base side to input new vendors, the cloud side is not intuitive for entering information
having better reporting, as mentioned, no canned reports that could be edited for your business use, or even just having one that are generic enough to get quick information
the chat, sometimes even the person you are chatting with doesn't know the product well enough to help you through things, you have to re-explain things several times. a bit frustrating

Return on Investment

we can run reports for specific codes to get a snapshot of expense for a grant that may need direct expense reporting
product does seem a bit pricey, if you want additional tools, they cost, non profit versus for profit users

i wish it was more flexible for things, reporting, naming conventions. when uploading journal entries, we have to use the app, i would think that would be part of the product, instead of having to go outside FE to get the batch upload product.

we are a non-profit and we do use the project and location areas, but the naming convention is sometimes confusing on what is used for what (project, or t-code)
