Bluebeam Revu is a fantastic and less expensive alternative to Adobe Acrobat Pro, it is less expensive and has tons more features and functionality. The infrastructure project I work with uses Bluebeam heavily for sessions, drawing plan set review and collaboration, takeoffs, measurements and many other functions. It's fairly easy to use and they have online training available.
The biggest business problem this addressed was the ability for multiple persons from different companies to be able to collaborate and comment on drawings and specifications at the same time in a live environment.
The biggest business problem this addressed was the ability for multiple persons from different companies to be able to collaborate and comment on drawings and specifications at the same time in a live environment.
- Sessions - this is a great feature to allow collaboration on documents within a company or across many different companies.
- Projects - the ability to maintain an entire set of project records in one place. Though simplistic from a document control standpoint it is a usable way to store and retrieve documents.
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in Bluebeam Revu Standard
- Easier access to free training resources for paid users of the software
- Greatly decreased the time involved in design plan review and comments from the project engineers back to the design team.
More bang for the buck, tons more functionality and lower price point.
