Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At one point, we had four video conferencing platforms available at LinkedIn (Teams, BlueJeans, Webex, Zoom), and BlueJeans was consistently the least reliable. The video and audio quality were subpar compared to the rest. We had this within our Sales department and it helped us meet with our customers virtually.

Microsoft Teams and Zoom

We were provider will all 3 providers during my time at LinkedIn. We ended up phasing out Bluejeans recently and continued our contracts with Teams (being a Microsoft company) and Zoom due to the quality and consistency that the platform offered. While Zoom is still superior to the other video providers, Teams has been catching up.

Likelihood to Recommend

While BlueJeans still connected me to coworkers and customers, that was about all I enjoyed from the platform. When I had the choice to use other providers, I felt that it was a better experience and that is why I chose to use them on a more consistent basis. We will see how they improve it moving forward.
