Managing a Charitable Event with Network for the Good.
Overall Satisfaction with Bonterra Network for Good
A central contact point for running a fundraising event. Advertising, communication, ticket sales, donor and sponsor promotion, and online auctions. In my case, I was running a county-wide fundraising event with only a few other volunteers to assist. So using the Network for the Good website as a single point of contact for fundraisers, sponsors, and donors saved time and effort. No need for additional paperwork or administrative functions. We used the ticket sales feature at the event to acknowledge donations and admissions paid for in advance. After the event completed we networked back to all our donors and sponsors o thank them for their generosity and save a list of contacts for use in other campaigns.
Pros
- Ease of Website setup.
- Financial management.
- Running an auction.
- Communication.
Cons
- Reporting stats and donor info.
- Integration with social channels.
- Close out reporting.
- Minimized the resources necessary to run an online presence. For instance, one moderately tech-savvy person can handle it.
- Provides a pathway to increase the number of events the organization can manage.
- By being part of a larger group of non-profits that utilize Network For The Good, we receive additional assistance and ideas from related organizations.
We utilized the fundraising platform and the online auction platform in an integrated manner. Donors, sponsors, and attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of our event and its impact on the community we serve. It was also easier for us to track donations, manage check-ins, and provide follow-up. We always knew where we stood relative to our goals, and at the conclusion, we immediately knew how successful we were.
