Overall Satisfaction with Budgyt

Budgyt is used to track our budget and expense report. It has all our programs and all our employees names. We tract FTE, and variance analyst report. We also use the software to pull our financial statements.
This is our fist year using the software, so we are still at the learning stage. We have lots of questions but James has been very helpful in meeting with us to answers our questions. Our goal is avoid using excel to track our budget but use this software instead.

Pros

  • variance analyst report- budget vs expense
  • Financial statement- How the company is doing as whole
  • Employees FTE- seeing how much each employee is putting on each program

Cons

  • tracking indirect cost- we have figure out how to utilize that yet
  • it is slow when there is much data-As the organization grows, we will hired more people and have more programs, it will be great for it to still work faster even as the data increase
  • We need more videos explaining how to use some functions
  • time savings- we use to use alot of time on excel spreadsheets
  • improved cost effectiveness- the software is affordable
  • Financial reports- easy to pull financial statements
It is easy to Budgyt. There are lots of videos that help when you are learning. I wish there more videos on formulas, indirect cost tracking especially for non profits organizations that tract indirect cost. The software has tools which you do not have have type everything, you just click on those tools and it apply it in other boxes.
Budgyt has help us so much is tracking budget and the good thing about it is that you can view budget for each single program, and you can also view is all programs at ones. I like the tools where you can select as many programs as possible when reviewing your budget
I like both programs and I think there both have their advantage and disadvantages. I believe Budgyt is nice for smaller organizations and easier to learn. I notice with Budgyt when there are so much data, it start getting slow. Our organization only have 75 people, but for urge organization it with so many employees, I will be a little concerns

The software is easy to learn. I love the way the financial statements and financial reports looks. The budget are easy to entered and easy to tract. it is easy to give access to other users so everyone can entered their budget for their programs. Also, we get audit on employees effort, and the software is easy to tract efforts for employees
