Overall Satisfaction with Cascade Server

Being at a large university, Cascade Server allows us the easiest method and Web Content Management System for a wide array of users. We have staff, students, and faculty that all have very unique needs, yet Cascade's easy navigation and quick response time lead to a very efficient web publishing environment.
  • Cascade Server has a simple user interface. Along the left side there is a menu that is very easy to learn.
  • Cascade Server responds very quickly. Some user interfaces take minutes to respond; Cascade takes only a couple of seconds.
  • Cascade Server is very powerful. It is able to address a variety of web needs.
  • It would be nice to customize the color scheme across the whole platform. More customization would allow for more comfortable use for some users.
  • There are a lot of folders that are named something that a lot of users may not understand. Having a clean default name for top directories would be very helpful to newer users.
  • Migration into Cascade server isn't the easiest. There could be many ways to improve this functionality.
  • It has helped with better customer service in the fact that we can support them better.
  • It has helped with allowing websites to be more easily created by more users.
  • Cascade Server has had a negative impact in the fact that it increases the web experience for thousands of web editors. It is definitely a huge ROI.
I have used WordPress and Drupal. They have completely different needs compared to Cascade Server. Cascade Server allows me, as a back end support staff member, to ensure thousands of people's sites are operating correctly and efficiently all with the click of a button. I selected Cascade Server because it is the best CMS for a support crew.
We will most likely renew with Cascade Server simply because it is easy and efficient. It remains a low cost service, has good workflow management, and is easy to teach to new users. It is the best service for the best price. I would highly recommend others try Cascade Server out and I am 100% going to renew with them when the time comes.
I would ask how large their site is, what the purpose of their website is, and whether or not a Web Content Management System is required for their needs. If it is, then I would absolutely recommend Cascade Server if asked by a colleague. It is the best Web Content Management System I have used.
