Overall Satisfaction with CATIA

We are using CATIA for creating models and 2D drawings for supplier and shop floor. Creating detailed drawings can be possible by CATIA . It is also helping us to show detailed assembly model for supplier.

Pros

Cons

  • Sheet metal design module is hard to use
  • Opening of assembly models sometime take time to open
  • Supplier demand got increased due to models provided by us
  • Detailing of 2D drawings made thing possible to understand in shopfloor
It is based on my personal experience of using CATIA software while creating 3d models and taking 2d drawing out of it .
We selected CATIA due to fan base around industries and multiple module present. We also planned to increase our domain from Gear to some other field.
