Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Check Point 220 Appliances across our organization for firewall, IPS, and other next-gen functions such as web filtering. These devices serve as a primary security layer in our over all security stack. They have been extremely stable and are managed centrally by our security operations team across the entire organization.

Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls - PA Series

Both were great products but Check Points seemed to be easier to manage and more stable. While cost was also comparable we chose Check Point because of our enterprise investment with them.

Likelihood to Recommend

These are great appliances for small/medium size offices. They do have limited port availability but are normally adequate for our needs.
