Overall Satisfaction with CIC Plus

CIC Plus was being used to set up our taxes for employees in Workday. It was being used across the whole organization. It was supposed to set up taxes for employees where they live and where they work. It didn't work as promised. It did not set up the taxes for employees where they work. The obvious problem of setting up the work location tax was a problem for several reasons. It did not set up the LST tax for PA. It did not set up the local taxes for employees in Colorado. It did not set up the local taxes for KY properly either.
  • CIC Plus sets up state and local taxes for employees' home addresses.
  • CIC Plus is easy to use.
  • CIC Plus offers an I-9 service.
  • CIC Plus needs to set up the local taxes for employees' home and work location.
  • CIC Plus does not automatically set up taxes for a new hire unless the new hire goes to CIC Plus website and fills out the paperwork.
  • CIC Plus needs to have an automatic feed for every new hire that automatically sets up ALL the home and work location taxes for the employee.
  • I wasn't involved in the cost aspect. I was the administrator of the CIC Plus system.
  • CIC Plus caused us to owe back taxes on local taxes that were not automatically set up for employees.
  • The taxes that were not paid timely had interest and penalties associated with them.
BSI Tax Profile works to set up taxes for employees Home and Work location. It works as designed and requires a lot less auditing of employees' tax set up.
CIC Plus does not set up all the taxes that are necessary to pay employees properly and this left the employer wide open for tax penalties and interest for taxes that were not paid properly and timely.

CIC Plus was designed to set up local and state taxes for employees in the payroll system. Taxes were not being set up for work locations and there was a lot of manual entry as well as audits that had to be done to set up employees properly.

Product features were why we purchased this product. CIC Plus employees promised us that we would get a product that would set up taxes for employees Home and Work location and this did not happen. It did not set up the Work location and this caused a lot of problems and manual tax set up.
After using the product I realized that it is missing features that they said would be in this product but it did not. We did not have a product that set up taxes for the Work location.

CIC Plus promised us a product that would set up taxes for employees home and work location and it did not do this as promised.

Day Nine was our implementation partner when we switched from Lawson to Workday. When we switched from Lawson to Workday we decided to use CIC Plus tax set up services. Day Nine did not provide the support that we needed to implement our new product. The training they provided was very minimal. Day Nine did not answer all questions about setting up this new product (Workday) and implementation was very seriously misguided.
Change management was minimal - There were no changes in management during or after implementation.

  • Changed the set up of 2 of our companies and this caused major problems for months to come.
