Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Aironet and Catalyst Access Points
As a systems integrator, we are both using Cisco's latest generation Aironet Access Points and deploying them for our customers.
- The 3800 AP has performed really well in high-density environments
- The newer generation Cisco access points are helping reduce CCI through the utilisation of the XOR radio
- Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the software supporting the access points has been lacking and we have had a number of bugs
- By providing the XOR radio in the access point, we've had a better ROI as we are no longer having APs sit utilised at 50% after we have disabled 2.4GHz to reduce the CCI.
Each vendor's access points have their own pros and cons. As a system integrator, we can identify which is best for that customer.
